Two-Way Binding - Plain

by osban

Level: beginner • Mithril.js Version: latest

This is an example showing two-way binding with Mithril.js' onboard tools. Normally, this is solved by using an oninput event handler together with an external variable. And exactly this can we see in this example.

Dependencies

Type Name URL
scriptmithril@latesthttps://unpkg.com/mithril@latest

JavaScript

const app = () => {
  let text = ''

  return {
    view: () => [
      m('h1', `text: ${text}`),
      m('input', {
        oninput: e => text = e.target.value,
        value: text
      })
    ]
  }
}

m.mount(document.body, app)

The snippet is using the most current version of Mithril.js framework. It is aimed at beginners and shows some basic recipes.

In addition to the Mithril.js hyperscript function m(), here we can see an example of Mithril.js' m.mount API method.
